First Look at Prometheus' Elder Engineer

Some brand new behind-the-scenes pictures from Ridley Scott's Prometheus  production have been revealed on Creatures Inc.'s Conor O'Sullivan's Facebook page (via Prometheusforum.net) and among them is a photo of an Elder Engineer. You can check out all the photos by clicking here!

Also, Ridley Scott spoke to Movies.com and was very open about discussing specifics about the Engineers. Here are a few excerpts:

So I always had it in there that the God-like creature that you will see actually is not so nice, and is certainly not God. As she says, "This is not what I thought it was going to be, and I think we should get the Hell out of here or there won't be any place to go back to."

Thats not necessarily planted in the ground at the tail end of the third act, but I knew thats kind of where we should go, because if we've opened up this door -- which I hope we have because I certainly would like to do another one I'd love to explore where the hell [Dr. Shaw] goes next and what does she do when she gets there, because if it is paradise, paradise can not be what you think it is. Paradise has a connotation of being extremely sinister and ominous.

When asked about how he planned to approach the film to pull audiences in, Scott spoke about the beginning of the film: "I was hoping I had with the fact that you have a sequence at the beginning of the film that is fundamentally creation. Its a donation, in the sense that the weight and the construction of the DNA of those aliens is way beyond what we can possibly imagine."

Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles Reboot Delayed

Paramount Pictures has postponed the planned release of the upcoming Platinum Dunes reboot, Ninja Turtles. Originally set for release on Christmas Day, 2013, the project's start has been pushed back by 10 weeks and is now targeting a May 16, 2014 release. This is the same date as Marvel Studios' untitled film.

Michael Bay is producing with Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) directing from a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and Andr Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). The turtles are expected to be motion capture CGI, much like what we saw in last year's Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The franchise, which began as a black and white comic book series in 1984, rose to tremendous popularity when it became an animated series in 1987. Following the first live-action film in 1990, the series spawned two live-action sequels, a live-action television series, a second animated series and a CGI feature film.

SuperHeroHype recently posted a list of who they'd like to see in the movie which you can read here.
